Daily Delight - Day 11: The Way of the River
Today’s delight is inspired by the wisdom of water. A river doesn't fight a boulder in its path; it doesn't waste its energy trying to smash through it. It simply flows around it. With gentle, persistent, undeniable force, it finds the path of least resistance, continuing its journey. Over time, that same gentle water can carve canyons.
There is immense power in this softness. We often think we must be the hammer, breaking down every obstacle with force. But that is exhausting. Today, we learn to be the river.
The Play, Pray, Practice: Identify one "boulder" in your path today—a task you're avoiding, a creative block, a difficult feeling. Instead of trying to force your way through it, pause and observe it. Now, ask yourself: What is the path of least resistance? What is the gentlest, most fluid way I can move around this, just for now, to keep my energy flowing? It might be a smaller related task, a 5-minute meditation, or simply giving yourself permission to move to something else and come back. Find the flow, not the fight.
