From the historic Buckeye Road Corridor, where Black entrepreneurship has flourished for generations, to today’s thriving Black-owned businesses, the city remains a testament to economic power and community strength. As part of ROOTED 2025’s nationwide movement, this Freedom Route will take you through Buckeye Road and Cleveland’s Black business districts, celebrating the past, present, and future of Black economic empowerment in Ohio.
